  32. I love these doomsayer posts. I have NO idea of Lightwave will outlive me or if I die and find
  33. out that God has been using it for YEARS to make everthing around us and just let Allen borrow the
  34. code for awhile. Ive seen 3ds Max and was amazed that it looks like a blatant ripoff of Lightwave.
  35. Allen should be proud that anyone should emulate him. It does have some nice features but so does
  36. Alias, SoftDamage and many others. I use Lightwave because it does what I need it to do. It boils down
  37. to this: If 3DS Max looks like Lightwave then Newtek must be doing something right. IF someone were
  38. to offer you Lightwave at $3500.00 or Lightwave at $900.00 what would you buy? And remember, whichever
  39. you buy, you DESERVE what you pay for.
  40. Also the statement that Lightwave depends on Plugins to survive is about as true as saying that marketing to
  41. students is important to the survival of Lightwave as well.
